This is the first entry in the Chronicle - the place where I will share letters from the workshop, new glimpses of the island and, from time to time, an omen. My name is Mikołaj and I am building Silent Souls on my own.
An island that remembers
Silent Souls is a top-down survival horror in pixel art. You wake on a cursed island with nothing but a red cloak. Forests, wastes, rivers and highlands are generated anew for every run, and all around lies the Sea of Silence. Sail too far and something notices.

Ten minutes of light
A day on the island lasts ten minutes. When the bell rings, doors close and lanterns are lit, because what sleeps by day starts to hunt at night. Hunger, darkness and madness wear you down at the same time, and every fourteenth night the Blood Moon rises.
One life
Death in Silent Souls is final. When you die, your world ends with you: the island, the camp you built, every day you survived. That is why every decision weighs something.
Not alone
You can face the island alone or with one friend in co-op for two. One fire, one shared island and twice as many reasons to fear the dark.

What comes next
The game is in alpha and the release is planned for 2027 on Steam. If you want to see new footage before anyone else, join the Vigil - the newsletter at the bottom of this page. I will write when there is something worth telling.
